Job Description

“Turning the world into fans of Japanese cuisine, one dish at a time.”
With that vision strongly in mind, we open up Japanese restaurants across the globe.

In Aug 2018, our third restaurant opened in New York!

While we have about 50 locations with various concepts throughout Japan itself,
we plan to open this new restaurant in New York that will focus on allowing our customers to
“enjoy yakitori and wine,” which is important to the heart of our brand.

We have 10 locations focusing on this brand in Japan already, but this will be the first location
with this brand in New York!

Our main dishes will be yakitori and other small plates of Japanese cuisine, for a cost per customer between 10,000~12,000 JPY in our restaurant that seats 45.

We already have a Japanese chef from our HQ working at this position, and our now working for new kitchen staff to work alongside him!

This position will also involve interacting with customers, so we are looking for someone with great interpersonal skills. We welcome candidates with experience preparing and serving food in front of the customers!

Requirements

・Will prioritize candidate’s with green card in the US ・5 or more years experience as a Japanese chef 　（Boiled and fried preparations, yakitori, someone who has a strong foundation in the basics of Japanese cooking.） ・Experience at a restaurant where the cost per customer was 5,000JPY or more ・Language: Japanese / Native level; English / Conversational level 【Desired Traits】 ・Someone who strives to provide food and create a dining experience that will meet customer expectations ・Someone who is motivated to master English ・Someone who is able to work politely and with respect for all colleagues and other team members on the staff
