Job Description

This sushi restaurant is located within a shopping mall in Bangkok.
While their customers are mainly locals, the number of Japanese customers and tourists are steadily increasing!
The popular restaurant has been in business for 7 years.

It has 12 seats at the counter, and along with private rooms and table seating, it seats 52 guests in total.
There are currently 5 sushi chefs working here as well.

Cost per Customer: Lunch/3,500JPY, Dinner/21,000JPY

This position is recommended to those who wish to grow from having no
experience to becoming a proper sushi chef. Since the restaurant is planning on expanding,
you can also earn a bonus if you put forth a great effort. The current boss used to work
at a famous Japanese Washoku restaurant, and will be there to offer you guidance.

【Job Description】
Preparation of ingredients
Organizing ingredients　
Culinary assistance
Creating sushi for customer orders, etc.

★For those with no experience, you will start by learning the basics.
・Knife skills
・Management of ingredients at upscale establishment, etc.
★Then, you will gradually proceed to becoming a culinary assistant
★And if you keep working hard, before long, you'll be preparing sushi for the customers!

Hiring Proess：
・Resume Screening
　→First Interview (online interview with head chef)
　→Second Interview (skills test in Thailand or Nagoya; travel expenses individual responsibility)
　→Third Interview (interview with company president in Nagoya; travel expenses individual responsibility)
　→Decision
(If you do not have any culinary experience, instead of a second interview, if you pass the initial interview, you will proceed directly to the interview with the company president)

We currently have 5 sushi chefs working with us (3 Japanese, 2 Thai) who are offering the utmost hospitality to our guests while creating authentic Japanese sushi.
We also have one female sushi chef. She had part-time front of house experience in Japan before relocating to Thailand.
After gaining skills at our restaurant, she now works hard each day as a sushi chef.
We are also open to candidates transferring careers from other industries.
We are in the process of expanding our business, and you may have the chance to have a hand in that.

【For Your Reference】
The average monthly salary in Thailand is about 110,000 JPY, with an average annual salary of about 1.4 million JPY.
But this is considered, even in Bangkok, to be a high-tier and sufficient salary bracket.

Holidays

・Time off: 70 days annually 　(5 days off per month, 5 days of summer vacation, 5 days of winter vacation) The shopping mall the restaurant is located in is open year-round, so time off will be determined on a shift basis 　　 ・Working hours: 10:00~22:30 (2 hour break)

・No experience required 　Motivation and positive personality are key. 　You will learn all of the skills necessary to become a sushi chef. 　We also welcome those with experience, or those who have graduated from sushi culinary schooling, etc. ・English: daily conversational level welcome 　※Also welcome those with drive to learn English and Thai! ・Ambitious, flexible individuals ・Desire to work and live long-term in Thailand
