Job Description

Seattle is an easy going city surrounded by forests and lakes, home to major global headquarters such as Microsoft, Amazon, Boeing, and Starbucks. Due to this, there is a growing number of immigrants from cities like San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Our company operates an authentic Edo-style sushi restaurant in this city, focusing on providing a taste that has been cherished for over 25 years, incorporating fresh seasonal ingredients that can only be found locally and in the surrounding areas. The dedication to this distinctive flavor has earned high praise from customers, making it a beloved and popular establishment in the city.

With a staff of 34, including many Japanese chefs, the restaurant is vibrant and full of outstanding teamwork. Currently, we are actively recruiting sushi chefs who can work energetically. There is also the possibility of being promoted to the opening staff of a new store after working with us.

We eagerly await applications from individuals who can join our team, contribute to the lively atmosphere of the restaurant, and potentially play a role in enhancing our new establishments.

- Job Responsibilities:
Opening and closing procedures
Ingredient management and orders
Preparing for opening, including about 4 hours of food preparation
Memorizing and preparing all items on the grand menu
Customer service over the counter, and more

【Weekly Working Days】 2 days off per week / 5 days per week (Approximately 50 hours) 【Holidays】 Shop holidays (6 days per year): New Year (January 1), Memorial Day (last Monday in May), Independence Day (July 4), Labor Day (first Monday in September), Thanksgiving (fourth Thursday in November), Christmas (December 25) Paid holidays granted after one year of employement (During extended holidays, restaurant holidays are also counted as paid holidays)

Requirements

Qualifications: Minimum 7 years of work experience as a Japanese cuisine chef or sushi chef in Japan Proficient knowledge of fish preparation and handling techniques Native Level of Speaking Skills in Japanese Ability to manage hygiene practices Capability in ingredient stock management Skill in shift management Competence in cost management for ingredients and personnel Able to handle 4-5 hours of preparation work and 6-7 hours of service Values teamwork Strong communication skills High motivation to acquire English language proficiency Application Documents: Resume / Curriculum Vitae Photos of culinary work
