Job Description

Washokujob posts job positions from restaurants abroad (with focuses such as sushi, yakiniku, kaiseki, ramen, etc.) after having a thorough conversation with the restaurant owner or person in change. So you can rest assured that our career advisors will have a solid foundation of information and impression of the restaurant when introducing the position to you!

This restaurant has a Chinese owner who has lived in Germany for 20 years.
It seats 30 customers, with both table and counter seating.

With sushi as the main offering, this restaurant also serves boiled, fried, and grilled Japanese single-plate dishes.
Lunch has a set menu, with the price per customer being 10〜15 euro(About 1,300〜2,000 JPY; 11/2018 exchange rate)
Dinner offers sushi and small plates, with the price per customer bring 35〜100 euro（4,500〜13,000 JPY; 11/2018 exchange rate)

You will oversee sushi preparation as a 【Sushi Chef】
The daily work flow will be preparing the rice, filleting the fish, other general preparations, and serving the customers.

Holidays

・Weekly time off：1 day (shift system) ・Restaurant's Hours of Operation 　Lunch　　10:00〜15:00 　Break　　15:00〜17:00 　Dinner 　17:00～23:00 ・Annual paid time off：21 days (can accumulate more starting 8 months after beginning employment)

Requirements

＜Experience・Skills＞ ・3 or more years experience as a sushi chef in Japan ・Someone who can prepare rice and filet fish ・Japanese: Native level ・English: not required, but desired ＜Desired Traits＞ ・Someone who works with honesty and integrity ・Someone who will take initiative to improve the restaurant ・Someone who is flexible and adaptable, who can successfully interact with our German customer base ＜Qualifications＞ ・Degree from culinary school or a chef's license ・For visa application: someone who can provide formal proof of work history.
