Job Description

This restaurant is located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and is beloved by local Japanese customers.
They are looking to hire a Washoku (or sushi) chef.

★Job Details★
・Cooking in the kitchen
・Preparing sushi at the counter and interacting with customers
・Training and guidance for local staff (from Bangladesh and Myanmar and Indonesia)
・Work with the central manager (Japanese) to oversee
costs and inventory (GM handles main duties like ordering)

To help provide more authentic food for the people of Kuala Lumpur and
the local customers, this restaurant is hiring a chef who works with
sincerity to further heighten the level of service.

You will oversee general Washoku and Sushi preparation!

【Probation Period】3 months

【Contract Period】2-3 years; extension negotiable

※the restaurant is open year-round, by contract with the hotel its located in ・Working Hours：11:30〜15:00、18:00〜23:00 ・ Work 6 days/week; shift system ・Time Off to travel home, etc. to be discussed with employer. ※You'll be living in the heart of the city, so you can enjoy shopping and many other attractions on your days off♪

Requirements

【Experience・Skills】 ・6 or more years of Washoku experience; sushi experience also preferred ※Since the ingredients will be ordered from Japan, they are looking to hire someone who knows how to properly prepare the fish and incorporate it into the menu ・Japanese: Native level ・Other language: N/A 【Desired Traits】 ・Works hard and seriously to achieve duties ・Someone comfortable working in a diverse environment with diverse people ・Can accept surrounding ideas and opinions ・Flexibility to tweak menu items to please local tastes ・Desire to spread Washoku abroad (seeks to further career while working abroad) 【Other】 ・Candidate to relocate individually desired
