Job Description

This beloved Washoku restaurant in Clarke Quay, Singapore is looking to hire
a Washoku chef to further increase the quality of their service.

The restaurant interior consists of private rooms, a party area, and a sushi bar,
and many businesses will make use of the newly installed \"Omakase Sushi Counter.\"
They are looking for a chef who can prepare small plates for this omakase course meal!

The lunch set costs between 50~80SGD (4,000~6,500JPY; 3/2019 exchange rate),
and the dinner set is between 60~120SGD (5,000~10,000JPY).
This restaurant offers high-quality food at an affordable price,
and they are hoping you will join their team!


【Job Description】
You will oversee the following:
・General culinary preparations
・Partial menu development
・Cost management
・Training and management of local staff
・Inventory (management of season ingredients)
・Food quality control and management
・Cooking quality control
・Sanitation management
・Customer service
・Shift management, etc.

【Probation Period】3~6 months; depending on candidate's performance

◇About Tax:
Consider your tax to be roughly 7-8% of your annual salary. You will be informed how to properly file/pay taxes.
But of course, filing taxes will be your individual responsibility, and is required when going abroad, much like insurance.

◇Relocating with Family:
For a family of 3-4, it will be hard to find somewhere to live that costs less than 2500SGD per month in rent.
Aside from transportation, other living expenses are high, particularly education.
Kindergarten costs upwards of 1200SGD per month, with elementary school costing upwards of 2000SGD per month.

Many people will relocate to Singapore alone and work to hone their skills
and attain a higher-paying job before relocating their family along with them.

【Required】 ・Kappo, Kaiseki, Sushi experience: 5 years or more ・Knowledge and culinary experience in general Washoku ・Knowledge of ingredients and proper treatment of them ・Japanese: Native level ・English: able to communicate with customers ・Computer Skills: Microsoft Excel 【Other】 ・Relocate as individual; adapt to Singapore's working environment
