Job Description

This bar in Taiwan uses all sorts of sake and alcohol from Japan, and is currently looking to hire a bartender with no experience on a working holiday visa.

The owner sees his mission as sharing Japanese alcohol and culture, with a traditional, educational bar that he opened in Taiwan 8 years ago.
He does not only serve drinks to his customers, but also holds various seminars, learning sessions, promotions of new products, and other various events through the multiple locations he owns.

The manager and head bartender will receive support from the owner and handle overall management of the bar.
More specifically:
・Comprehensive management as the manager
・Making drinks, handling preparations, and interacting with customers as the head bartender
・Promotions and events
・Moving forward in bartending with creativity, using new styles and ingredients to produce results

Requirements & Notes

・Hiring Process：
　Hiring will depend on the hiring manager's availability
The owner may come to visit Japan, or you may be asked to go to Taiwan

＜About the Bar＞
・The Japanese owner became interested in alcohol in his teens, and has been living in that world since his 20s.
The bar in Taiwan has over 200 varieties of alcohol.
Shochu, sake, Japanese liqueur, whiskey, everything! It's all made in Japan!
The owner even makes his own Japanese liqueur.

・It seats no more than 30 people, but the location has over 1500 customers in a month.
　With this great success, they plan to open a second location.

・Aside form the owner, there are 5 other staff members, who are in their 20s and 30s. Everyone is treated as equals on this team.
Therefore, everyone is able to express their thoughts and opinions, and help make changes to further grow the bar.
They are looking to welcome new bartenders who share the same love of alcohol!

Holidays

・18:30〜27:00 (8 hour work day; 30 minute break)　※ 9 hour workdays twice a week ・22-23 work days per month, shift system ・Time Off: 8 days per month, depending on shift ・Paid Time Off：Between two months and one year of employment: 5 days 　　　　1-2 years of employment: 10 days 　　　　2-3 years of employment: 15 days 　　　　3-5 years of employment: 17 days ・This business strictly follows Taiwan's labor laws. 　All preparations are made in front of the customers as well.

Requirements

・College graduate or equivalent for work visa acquisition purposes ・2 or more years of experience bartending in Japan 　※　If you have no experience, you can undergo training for 1 year at the bar, and if you perform well enough, you can be promoted to the manager/head bartender position ・Japanese: Native level ・English: Business level (you should be able to speak smoothly and clearly in English. ・Preferred: Any type of certification with bartending/alcohol
