Job Description

This upscale Sushi Kaiseki restaurant in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
is currently hiring a Washoku chef.

This Edo-mae style sushi restaurant targets tourists and upper class local residents,
but holds the motto of providing its customers with an unforgettable experience.

There are 10 seats sat the counter, and table seating seats 30.
It is a very popular restaurant, and reservations are a must.

Currently, there are 3 chefs at the sushi counter, and 5 kitchen staff.
Including the front-of-house staff, there are 14 members who work very well together.
They are hiring a Washoku chef to work as a part of this team.

Specifically, your duties will be as follows:
・Washoku small plate dishes
・Cooking area management
・Cost management
・Culinary guidance
・Menu development, etc.

Hiring Process：

1）Resume Screening (Dishes photos required)

→２）First Interview: online interview (prefer Line), or in-person if distance permits
　　　※on-site cooking test at current place of employment also possible
　
→３）Second Interview: one-site cooking test (transportation/housing expenses covered)

→４）Decision

※Visa application/acquisition will take about one month before relocating

After tax: RM96,000〜240,000 (2.53-6.32 million JPY; 5/2019 exchange rate); housing also provided

Holidays

・Time Off: 5-6 days per month (at least 1 day per week, typically one multi-day vacation per month) 　Paid Time Off: typically when the restaurant is closed 　(2018 example: 10 days of at year-end/beginning, 7 days for Obon, 3-4 days for New Year's and Muslim holidays) ・Hours of Operation： 　LUNCH 12:00 - 15:00 (Last Order: 14:00) 　DINNER 18:00 - 23:00 (Last Order: 22:00) ・Working Hours 　10：00～23：00 (2 hour break between lunch and dinner) ※The condominium is a one-minute walk from the restaurant, and many chefs return home during the break

Requirements
