【Kinosaki, Hyogo / Japan】URGENT! The acclaimed Ryokan is seeking a Ready-to-Work Japanese Cuisine Chef

Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled individual to join us as a Japanese Cuisine Chef at the renowned traditional Japanese inn, \"Nishimuraya Honkan\". Located in the picturesque onsen (hot springs) town of Kinosaki Onsen, known for its Taisho-era ambiance and scenic willow-lined streets along the Daigokugawa River, this area has received high acclaim worldwide. It is not only the setting for Natsume Soseki's novel \"At Kinosaki,\" but also home to seven famous public hot spring baths.

Kinosaki Onsen has been recognized as the \"Best Onsen Town\" by the English-language guidebook \"Lonely Planet Japan\" and received a \"☆☆ Two-Star\" rating in the \"Michelin Green Guide Japan.\"

Nishimuraya Honkan itself has been featured as the \"Best Ryokan\" and \"The Most Memorable Place in Japan's Travel\" in both of these prestigious guidebooks. Additionally, it has been ranked as the \"Top Historic Inn in Japan for Over 100 Years\" by the major travel site TripAdvisor.

Utilizing locally sourced ingredients from the abundant nature of Tajima, we continue to offer traditional flavors passed down for 160 years. Many guests visit us specifically for the unique taste of Nishimuraya, contributing to our top-notch reputation among onsen ryokans in Japan.

In response to the increasing number of inbound tourists expected during and after the spring season, as well as domestic tourists, we are expanding our team. This position as a Japanese Cuisine Chef involves creating innovative dishes based on kaiseki cuisine, catering for events, and various banquet services.

If you are passionate about Japanese cuisine and culture, and wish to be a part of our longstanding tradition, we welcome you to join our team at Nishimuraya Honkan!
