Job Description

Utilizing seasonal ingredients, we serve dishes prepared on a teppanyaki grill right in front of our guests. We are looking for a teppanyaki chef and sous chef to work under the direction of our executive manager. Our clientele consists largely of Europeans, corporate clients, and Americans, providing an excellent stage to showcase Japanese cuisine to guests from around the world.

We are seeking individuals who are eager to thrive in this wonderful environment with us.

[Main Responsibilities]
- Provide cuisine that meets the standards of a high-end restaurant
- Advise and mentor teppanyaki staff
- Manage ingredients, costs, and hygiene
- Propose menu ideas to the head chef
- Oversee the schedules of teppanyaki staff

Note: The teppanyaki staff are Japanese.

Holidays

[Holidays and Leave] - Shifts: 2 days off per week (closed on Wednesdays, dinner service only from Monday to Sunday) - 38 working hours per week, with overtime as required Note: Cleanup after dinner service results in late-night returns home. 25 days of annual paid leave

Requirements

[Qualifications] - Experience as a teppanyaki chef or in Japanese cuisine (preferably over 5 years) - Experience in management and training in teppanyaki in Japan - Holder of a chef's license (required for Dutch work visa application) - Graduate of a culinary school with a Japanese cuisine course (required for Dutch work visa application) - Ability to interact with customers (in English and Japanese) as a teppanyaki chef - Possess a strong professional attitude and continuous effort - Interested in offering \"Japanese hospitality\" to the world - Have the independence and strong mentality necessary for living abroad [Employment Type] Full-time, minimum 2-year contract (including a 2-month probation period), with potential extension based on performance.
