Job Description

This company has been adding a taste of authentic Japanese food and service
within Singapore for 30 years, and is currently increasing its menu
development staff.

This brand operates a wide variety of restaurants, such as upscale Kaiseki,
izakaya, sushi, tendon, soba, shabushabu, yakitori, bento, and more!
They are expanding their staff to further grow their signature brand.

Currently, they are hiring team members to work on menu development
within their central kitchen.

More specifically...
Creating a grand menu, in addition to 4 seasonal menus.
You will present your recommended to the head chef once every two months.

Duties in menu development will include:
・General menu development
・Coordinating menus with marketing team and PR
・Ingredient ordering
・Test menu and photography of dishes
・Draft recipes for created dishes
・Creation of working standard documents
・Staff training
・Quality management
etc.

【Probation Period】3-6 months; case-by-case basis

◇About Tax:
Consider your tax to be roughly 7-8% of your annual salary. You will be informed how to properly file/pay taxes.
But of course, filing taxes will be your individual responsibility, and is required when going abroad, much like insurance.

◇Relocating with Family:
For a family of 3-4, it will be hard to find somewhere to live that costs less than 2500SGD per month in rent.
Aside from transportation, other living expenses are high, particularly education.
Kindergarten costs upwards of 1200SGD per month, with elementary school costing upwards of 2000SGD per month.

Many people will relocate to Singapore alone and work to hone their skills
and attain a higher-paying job before relocating their family along with them.

【Experience・Skills】 ・5 or more years of experience with Washoku menu development ・5 or more years of experience working in food&bev or as head chef also considered ・Japanese: Native level ・English: N/A 　　　　However, looking for communication level English for staff training, etc. 【Other】 ・Candidate who will relocate alone desired, for Singaporean working life environment
