Job Description

Hiring Background：
・This restaurant is to be opened by a Chinese owner of British nationality who previously owned high-class piano classrooms in Beijing and Shanghai. It has been a long-term dream to open such a restaurant, as they have a deep love for Washoku.

Job Description：
・As head chef, develop restaurant concept, assist with choosing location and interior design, menu creature, culinary preparation, training and management of kitchen staff, ordering, inventory, quality management, and all general operations

Process：
・After hiring our head chef, we will draft a 2-3 month contract and begin development.

Requirements & Notes

＜Hiring Process＞
・Resume Screening: registry of your resume and work history through Washokujob's MyPage, face photo, 10 photos of prepared dishes.
・First Interview: video interview via Wechat
・Second Interview: in-person interview with owner (to be arranged based on situation)
・Final Interview: cooking test in Shanghai (housing and travel fees covered by company)

＜Other＞
To obtain a working visa, the following terms may be included in your contract
・Business Manager Visa：By granting a portion of stock in the company, we will apply for a Business Manager visa for you. There is no need to invest money, as after drafting your contract, a set amount of money will be deducted from your pay each month (10%, etc.) and invested in our stock if there is mutual agreement upon this. You will be able to hear further details when speaking with the owner, and reach a mutual decision from there.

＜Simultaneous Hiring＞
As they are looking to hire someone to help with the restaurant concept, they are also holding an open hiring for a Kaiseki Head Chef.
If someone is hired for that position, this one will be closed as well.

＜Experience・Skills＞ ・5 or more years of experience working at a tempura, yakiniku, shabu shabu, sushi, or similar restaurant ・Japanese: Native Level ・English/Chinese: not required, but seeking candidate willing to study and learn ＜Other＞ ・We would like to have an in-person interview, so this hiring is limited to residents of Japan, mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwain
